About the Race

The Kettle Cross Enduro is a bicycle race that takes place every September on the twisting, fast, and fun trails in the Blackfoot Recreation Area, located approximately 40 km east of Edmonton.

The 2013 edition of the race will happen on September 8. Yeah, we know this overlaps with the final stage of the Tour of Alberta, and that sucks, because it means that Ryder Hesjedal won’t be able to make it to our race this year.

Kettle Cross is a race that is designed for all ages and abilities, and features a race course with three distances:

Full Kettle: 74 km
Half Kettle: 37 km
Tea Cup: 15 km

Whether you ride a cyclocross or mountain bike, you do not want to miss this race! Here is what a few folks said about Kettle Cross 2012:

“Great first race experience. Well organized and supported. Thanks!”

“Most fun I have had in a long time. Already planning my attack for next year”

“A great event, something different from the 20 other CX races out there. Hopefully the ‘hardcoreness’ of the distance attracts even more Monday morning superheroes”

Registration for 2013 opens on June 1. We are giving away an Icebreaker a day in June, so make sure you sign up early to get your name into the draw. Check out our latest news for race updates!
